Auction Watch Software

Different sites offer an eBay auction watch software. It is free and can work for more auctions than eBay. The countdown software will list all necessary information such as item name, auction status, date and time auction ends, highest bidder, and the time left until the auction ends. You can setup your auction watch to play sound and basically give you an alarm right before the auction ends. You have the capability to set the alarm at any time you want. Keep in mind that the time on your computer has to be correct and up to date or it won't work the way it should.

The software makes it easy to add more auctions. It creates a "quick add" button in your browser toolbar. All you have to do is drag the link to it and it is automatically added. What can be easier than that?

  1. Before this class I was completely unaware of this software, probably due to the fact that I have never bought or sold merchandise on Ebay or any other online auction site. I can see how this software can be very beneficial. It is one of those things that I'm sure was hard for the creator to make available to the mass market. I could see there being major gains to come from keeping this software to yourself in other applications, especially in that aspect of those programs that actually make the bids for you at set times.

  2. I personally use sniper services when I am bidding on items. I don't need an alarm or anything because it places my bid automatically with 6 seconds left. The service is free and has never failed me. I am a bid fan of sniping items as I feel it has saved me hundreds or thousands on auctions!

  3. I don't bid online, but it sounds very helpful for someone like my friend who does. She is an eBa addict, and I'm sure something like this can be like an extra eye for an item she really wants.

  4. I am curious if this auction watch software can cause errors at the end of an auction. Say if there are 3-4 bidders using software and they all try to up their bids simultaneously with only a few seconds left. I guess as long as it works flawlessly it could be good for both the seller and buyer. Driving the price up to the maximum that anyone is willing to pay, even if it is at the last second. The only problem with this is how does the system react to multiple bids coming in instantaneously?
